Art à la MODE

PS Members Exhibit at 950MODE
in Northern Liberties

First Friday Opening Reception May 1, 2009: 5:00 – 9:00 pm

In a unique partnership with the business community, 19 members of PS are exhibiting works in Art à la MODE, a new PS venture. Sculptures will be displayed in the lobby and three units of 950MODE, an upscale condominium in Northern Liberties.

From May 1- 17, 2009, part of the building will be transformed into an extended art gallery as sculptures take up residence on the premises. The public is invited to view the art and tour the new units during the First Friday Opening Reception May 1, 2009 from 5:00 – 9:00 pm. Wine will be served and a chocolate tasting, featuring Antoine Amrani Chocolates, a new venture of local Philadelphia chef Antoine Amrani, (who previously worked as the Head Pastry Chef of Le Bec Fin restaurant). Gift boxes will also be available for sale on May 1. Art viewings will be be held noon – 4:00 on the weekends of May 2 and 3, 9 and 10, and 16 and 17. Additional hours are Wednesdays, May 6 and 13, from 5:00 – 9:00 pm.

PS members Perky Cohen, Peter Frantz, Milt Friedly, James Fuhrman, t.a. hahn, Cheryl Harper, Denise Hayman-Loa, Leslie Kaufman, Bonnie Kornstein, Carole Loeffler, Elizabeth Mackie, Julia McGeehan, Deanna McLaughlin, Anita Meenen, Gina Michaels, Diane Pepe, Marilyn Simon, Austin Tremellen, and Dina Wind will be exhibiting a diverse range of works in the show. 950MODE is located at 950 N. 3rd Street in Philadelphia, between Poplar and Wildey Streets and across the street from Liberty Lands Park.
