I sculpt in various mediums including ceramics, wood, and bronze. I’m fascinated by the way different materials respond to sculpting techniques and their visual effect on the form and content of the sculpture.
I graduated from The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 1978. My sculpture work has been in numerous one man and group shows throughout the region, country and world. In 2010, I was commissioned to create an on-site, large-scale marble sculpture in Phu Tho Province in Vietnam titled “New Life.” I have been a recipient of two Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation grants and my commissioned work includes Septa’s Art In Transit, an installation in Los Anonas, El Salvador, and Bar Ferdinand in Philadelphia. My public sculptures and murals can be found in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey, and my work is included in many private collections.
