Interview with Miguel Horn

Watch our video interview with one of the recipients of the P.S. We Love Our Members Grant, Miguel Horn:

Miguel Antonio Horn is a sculptor from Philadelphia with Colombian and Venezuelan roots. He received a certificate in 2006 from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and apprenticed for five years with Mexican artist Javier Marin. He creates large-format sculptures using digital and analog processes in a variety of media.

When asked about his passions, Miguel says this:

"I am passionate about my family, my community and creating artworks that challenge the conventions of art in public spaces. I create works that push social issues into the public dialogue and confront viewers with challenging installations. I hope to create emotional connections, experiences and memories that hold lasting impressions on viewers in an attempt to reclaim the human experience of the built environment. I am passionate about the evolution and interconnection of craft and technical advancements and developing a visual language that navigates the integration of our virtual and natural worlds."
