When asked about her passions, Pomerantz says this: "I am passionate about reforming the public's relationship to shared space, landscape, "the commons". I am passionate about using art to help people have a sense of presence, a connection to time and place, and care and stewardship for nature and its existence within urban landscapes. I am passionate about historic preservation-- the care for the built world-- and equitable and ecologically sound land management giving fair and wide access to the natural world. I am passionate about the re-use of materials, about breaking unethical and unsustainable supply chains. I am passionate about teaching art and the way that it offers people crucial skills for critical thinking, seeing, and creating a new world. I am passionate about school reform and believe that access to education should be supported and encouraged for all people, regardless of economic background. I am passionate about diverse artist communities and school communities, and working with other artists and teachers to create betters conditions for learning and creating, where a multitude of identities and expressions are supported and empowered."
